Hollywood and Vine is a series of eight animations created by artist Jennifer Steinkamp. At 24’H x 3’W, each animation references a specific star on a block of Vine, the section of the Walk of Fame in front of the 1600 Vine complex. These stars are Orson Wells, Cary Grant, Donna Reed, Jane Wyman, Ray Milland, Margaret O'Brien, William Bendix, and Audrey Hepburn.

For each star, Steinkamp selected a classic film that showcases flowers in some manner. The variety of flowers that appear in the respective films were then digitally modeled and assembled into each of the animations. The artist says that this series pays tribute to the great actors memorialized here as well as Hollywood's talented Art Directors and Set Decorators.
