Erwin Redl proposes a canopy of white LED lights that begin from the W Hotel entrance at Argyle Street, and arc up and expand out to cover the motor court an hotel entry. The installation, entitled "Wave", will include 40,000 white lights on a 6 inch grid, and will be a strong presence both by day and by night.

Erwin Redl received a Fulbright scholarship for MFA studies in Computer Art at the School of Visual Arts, New York, NY. He also has a BA in Composition from the Music Academy, Vienna, Austria and Diploma in Electronic Music, Music Academy, Vienna, Austria. He was the recipient of a New York Foundation for the Arts, Award for Architecture & Environmental Structures as well as completed a residency at theChinati Foundation, Marfa, TX. He has received countless awards and his work has been shown worldwide, and most recently at the Geffen Contemporary as part of their Ecstasy: Altered States exhibition.
